Lota and I knew each other because she was willing to put herself out there and take on the Spanish Ministry. Shortly after we met face-to-face during an RMI Women’s Conference in Branson, Missouri, we became the closest of friends.
Lota needed to share her real-life journey with readers who will be inspired, and what happened long after God restored her marriage—that I knew was imminent because she stated a truth few ever manage to grasp—that the Restore Your Marriage book was about her relationship with the Lord, not her husband.
Lota’s journey stands out due to the duration, the obstacles, but then after she willingly let go and walked away from her Spanish Ministry of 20 years, we witness the miracle that He’d promised. Lota’s husband began, not just attending church, but preaching! Seeing the video, I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes!
As with all our inspiring authors, it took little coaxing or encouragement from me for Lota to write her Novel. Always transparent, always encouraging, Lota is a natural-born writer and now a published author. I couldn’t be more honored that she trusted NarrowRoad Publishing.
About the Author
Lota Joel is a wife and the mother of a “restoration baby” boy who turned into a wonderful young man. When her marriage was restored, her husband was not a believer, but Lota trusted that the Lord would turn His heart to Him, and true to His word, He did!
When she started her restoration journey, she could not fathom all the Lord would do in her life and the lives of her family. This book is the story of that 20-year journey through restoration and ultimately remarriage.
Lota’s only desire is for others to know Him in an intimate way. So, whatever path He has for them or leads them through, she hopes they will know they are never alone and always loved. “All things are POSSIBLE with God,” as she has learned in her journey with RMI “Restore Ministries International” and through her involvement as the Spanish Minister. She is now an alumni.
Early in the year 2022. Erin held a meeting after the Lord laid in on her heart to believe GOD for what appeared IMPOSSIBLE! Rather than the struggle she experienced, our earthly husbands would begin returning with a heart that was pursuing Him—meaning being equally yoked—beginning with our already RESTORED brides, like Lota.
Lota believed, took a terrifying step to leave ministering to allow her husband to be her spiritual leader, and within just months, Lota shared her tearful news with the RMI's Board of Directors. Later, Lota sent a video of her husband preaching!
“And I will give them one heart and mind to worship me forever, for their own good and for the good of all their descendants. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, promising never again to desert them but only to do them good. I will put a desire into their hearts to worship me, and they shall never leave me. I will rejoice to do them good and will replant them in this land with great joy.” Jeremiah 32:39-41
